According to a new rumor from China, OPPO is preparing to launch its first foldable smartphones in the second quarter of 2021. Interestingly, the device won’t be a foldable smartphone like the OPPO X 2021 concept phone they showcased last year. Instead these phones will likely have a regular folding design.
OPPO is expected to be one of the many Chinese smartphone manufacturers to launch its first foldable smartphone this year. It has a 6.7-inch main screen that can be extended to 7.4 inches OPPO X 2021 Before the foldable concept phone goes into production, the phones in the form of folding that we know will come first.
It is also rumored that Google will develop a foldable smartphone for release later this year. Samsung will reportedly supply foldable displays to these companies. Earlier rumors suggested that OPPO’s foldable smartphone will have a clamshell design that folds from top to bottom. It looks like the main screen size will be 7.7 inches, while the outer screen will be between 1.5 and 2 inches.
Once the phone is released, OPPO will enter a highly competitive market. HUAWEI has recently launched the Mate X2 foldable smartphone, and Samsung is expected to update its foldable smartphone lineup in the third quarter of 2021.
We will witness more foldable phones. Especially the models that will be introduced this year are expected to appeal to the general public with their prices. We hope there will be an improvement in prices and foldable phones can be reached by everyone.
