fans of Pirates of the Caribbean in general and of Johnny Depp in particular: we have great news to give you. Well, or at least a hopeful message to convey to you. It turns out that the producer of the next film in the saga, Jerry bruckheimer, has talked about a possible return Depp, with some statements that some have already interpreted as a clear clue that the return of Jack Sparrow could be possible.
“I would love to have him in the movie”
Jerry Bruckheimer, producer of the new franchise film Pirates of the Caribbean, has released the phrase that you read on these lines and has been so hot. It was during the walk on the “red carpet” -this year it was beige, really- of the Oscars held this past Sunday, when Bruckheimer has spoken about the progress of the new film, for which there is still no date or much data on the table.
The producer thus commented that the new installment of the saga It is going from strength to strength and that they continue to focus on it: «We are all working on it. We’ll see how it turns out. But we are very excited. I think we’ll have a great script. And we’re getting close.” These are undoubtedly good signs for lovers of the great adventure story who are still waiting for any details related to what is new to come.
The most exciting thing, however, came right after when good old Jerry was asked, how could it be otherwise, if he saw any possibility that Johnny Depp would return to history, embodying Sparrow: «We’ll see. I would love to. I’d love to have him in the movie, that’s all I can tell you.”

The return of Jack Sparrow, is it possible?
Despite the fact that Johnny Depp’s trial against his wife was resolved in favor of the actor, things have not been the same for the American since then. The film industry practically turned its back on him to such an extent that he even stayed if one of his star roles, that of the charismatic pirate Jack Sparrow. And it is that Disney, owner of the franchise, he did not like the bad relationship he had with his ex-wife, Amber Heard, and the very serious accusations that were exchanged, to such an extent that he decided to cut his losses and remove Depp from the saga.
The actor has put on the character’s suit just one more time, for a charitable cause, in December 2022, and since then we have not learned anything about his film projects. We do know at least that he is now focused on his musical side -he can afford to dedicate himself to doing whatever he wants at this point-, thus moving away from the media focus of Hollywood.
