Apple’s iPhone 12 is still in the game. Despite the arrival of the iPhone 13 at the end of 2021, the 2020 smartphone retains many arguments, a potential reinforced by an often lower price. And precisely, the Orange operator offers a nice promotion that does not require any subscription. The 6.1-inch phone that shares 90% of its components with the iPhone 12 Pro is less than €720, instead of €909 initially.
The iPhone 12 is cheaper right now
As we explained during our test of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, Apple’s phone range has come very close with many common characteristics. Exit the LCD screens, the four models are entitled to OLED technology, just as they are entitled to a Ceramiq Shield glass, a completely revised design with a flat edge, an ever more efficient A14 chip and 5G.
But like any Apple product, you have to pay the price. While the iPhone 13 range has taken over 80% of the components of its elders, there are nice reductions on the iPhone 12, the price of which Apple had already lowered by €50 during the renewal.
If you are wondering about the differences between the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 13, we can summarize them very quickly. A slightly faster A15 chip, a slightly reduced notch width, a slightly larger battery and… that’s it. Design, screen and 5G have not changed, only the Pro range benefits from a 120 Hz panel which is interesting for gamers.
