Sony has just given an overview of the releases coming to PS5 in 2024. Suffice to say that the year promises to be full of new releases, starting with Tekken 8, The Last of Us Part II: Remastered, Helldivers 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth or Rise of The Ronin.
While Sony has just revealed the list of games offered with PlayStation Plus in January 2024 (a nice selection made up of A Plague Tale: Requiem, Evil West and Nobody Saves The World), the Japanese manufacturer has decided to give us a taste of what awaits players next year on PS5.
Please note, however, that the article published by Sony on its official blog is not intended to list all of the upcoming releases on its console. No, the manufacturer simply presented some of the strong titles coming to PS5 from January 2024.
Sony promises an announcement full of releases on PS5 in 2024
We obviously start with one of the first releases of the year, the test of which should also arrive soon in our columns: The Last of Us Part II Remastered. As you may know, Naughty Dog's cult game will return to PS5 in an improved version which notably exploits the capabilities of the PS5 (4K, 60 FPS, HDR, Ray Tracing, DualSense support, time reduced loads thanks to the SSD). We will especially remember the introduction of No Return mode, a new survival game mode with rogue-like touches.
January 26fans of fighting games will also be able to jump on Tekken 8. The new opus of the saga will count 32 known and new characters and will introduce a new combat system called Heat mode. In this mode, players will be able to cancel attacks on the fly, offering new offensive options.
In a completely different genre, HellDivers 2 will land on PS5 from February 8. The title is promising, with its effective cooperative 3rd person shooter formula. On hostile alien planets, you will have to survive with your teammates against impressive waves of enemies. To help you out, you'll be able to use a full arsenal, from flamethrowers to turrets to orbital strikes. A game that should please Starship Troopers fans.
We find in the rest of the releases announced by Sony:
- Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (February 29, 2024) on PS5
- Foamstars (2024) on PS5, PS4
- Rise of the Ronin (March 22, 2024) on PS5
- Stellar Blade (2024) on PS5
- Destiny 2: Final Form (June 4, 2024) on PS5
On February 21, Sony also plans to launch the Pulse Elite, its new wireless headset presented alongside the PlayStation Portal. This headset promises high-end performance, notably thanks to the use of planar magnetic drivers.
