The renders have been published on a website of leaks by the hand of OnLeaks, so they have enough strength to believe that they are real. Even so, we recommend you take all the information with tweezers.
The camera module disappears, like in the Galaxy S22 Ultra
The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ are going to have only one significant design change: the camera module. This is not that it changes, it is that it disappears. Samsung will use the same technique that we saw with the Galaxy S22 Ultra and other mid-range phones.
The hump of the camera module vanishes, giving way to a few sensors placed in the rear without more. It is a rather aesthetic solution that simplifies the device. The entire back will be flat and 3 sensors will protrude 1 or 2 millimeters individually. Exactly like on the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
It will be the only major change in design
If you know the Galaxy S22 you will know that these renders do not show anything beyond the new camera “module”. Knowing the source of the leak we can take this design as officialso, indeed, the Galaxy S23 will be almost identical to the Galaxy S22.
The news could come in new colors and, of course, internal improvements in battery, performance and camera. Even so, at the moment we can only know details of its design and not of the characteristics.
When are the Samsung Galaxy S23 presented?
You may think that these devices are just around the corner, but they are not. The Galaxy S23 will be the Samsung high-end for 2023so there are still a few months to meet them.
If Samsung follows the same strategy that we have seen with the current generation, we would be talking about a presentation in february. The leaks started rolling in in August, so we might see a sneak peek at the dates as well. Of course, it is unlikely that they will be presented in 2022.
