Are you one of those users who has a smart watch to monitor your health or the sports you do? If this is the main use you make of smartwatches, Samsung has good news for you. It will reduce the size of these devices to a minimum. As? With a smart ring, the new era of health monitoring devices. The Korean company has already registered this device and could launch it between this year and the next. Goodbye to smart watches?
Samsung already has a Smart Ring on its hands
Samsung has registered a trademark called “Samsung Galaxy Ring”. The company itself has indicated that this brand is intended for the development of smart devices in ring format to monitor sports, health and fitness.
In other words, this supposed Samsung ring would replace a large part of the functions that smart bracelets and watches currently have. Many users buy them purely for monitoring sleep, sports, and health-related parameters.
Now a considerably smaller device could hit the market to offer all of this. You could even add interaction with notifications and calls thanks to vibration.
Are smart rings the future?
It is not the first time we have heard about smart rings. What’s more, there are a few options on the market today. The important thing is that it is the first time that a TOP brand has entered this market niche.
This type of device could become very popular and replace, in many cases, current watches and bracelets. The most important factors in doing so are price and size. They are probably cheaper than mid-range/high-end smartwatches, not to mention their small size and discretion.
Would you buy one of these smart rings? Do you think Samsung will launch a Galaxy Ring soon?
