Qualcomm created its perfect play with the addition of Snapdragon Sight technology that includes a new Cognitive ISP that powers real-time semantic segmentation for photo and video capture.
The company incorporated the new AI, which will offer faster natural language processing with multilingual translation and INT4 support.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and what it will offer
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 comes with a boost to gaming, thanks to real-time hardware-accelerated ray tracing, as well as unprecedented connectivity with the world’s first 5G AI processor along with new Wi-Fi 7 technology.
Qualcomm developed a chip that will enable a new way of hearing sounds, as it will have spatial audio with dynamic head tracking for ultra-immersive multimedia and gaming experiences.
“We are passionate about enabling people to do more, so we designed it with the user at the center. It will revolutionize the flagship smartphone landscape in 2023,” said Chris Patrick, Senior Vice President of Qualcomm.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be powered by an upgraded Hegagon processor, featuring architectural enhancements including micro-tile inference and a larger tensor accelerator for up to 4.35x AI performance.
The company improved its Adreno GPU to offer up to 25% more speed and the Kryo CPU up to 40% more energy efficiency so you don’t have to suffer when you play, but we’ll see that when it arrives at the end of the year.
