Tech News Desk – Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty has launched a new food delivery app. The special thing about this app is that food is being offered cheaper than Zomato and Swiggy. The name of this app is Vayu (Air), which has been brought by the hotels of Mumbai. It is being claimed about this app that the app offers food 15 to 20 percent cheaper than other aggregators. Presenting the app, it has been said that this app has been introduced to solve various issues related to food delivery and to give a better experience.
Who launched Vayu App?
Vayu App is a part of Destec HoreCa, which was founded by tech entrepreneurs Anirudh Kotgire and Mandar Lande. Vayu is supported by Mumbai-based Indian Hotel and Restaurant Association (AHAR) and other industry bodies. Over 1,000 restaurants in Mumbai are onboarded to the platform, including Bhagat Tarachand, Mahesh Lunch Home, Banana Leaf, Shiv Sagar, Guru Kripa, Kirti Mahal, Farsi Darbar and Ladoo Samrat. The company has appointed actor and hotelier Sunil Shetty as the brand ambassador of Vayu.
The app will not charge commission from restaurants
Reportedly, WAAYU does not charge any commission from the restaurants. Because of this, restaurants are able to offer food to customers at a better price. This makes Vayu’s food delivery cheaper than other apps. The platform aims to offer affordable, timely, hygienic and superior quality food to customers. Vayu has just launched, so is offering cheap food. It can also be a way to attract customers. Now how long will the company stick to this formula, only time will tell.
From where will the app be downloaded?
There are two versions of the app: Vayu Delivery Partner for Delivery Partners and Customer Vayu for Customers. You can download both the apps from the Google Play Store or from the website waayu.app on your browser.
