Apple has a supplier for the OLED screen of the iPhone SE 4
Samsung’s departure left BOE and Tianma as potential suppliers. But Tianma has failed to meet Apple’s strict quality requirementsleaving BOE in pole position to win most, if not all, orders.
Despite working with Samsung Display on other devices, Apple has fought the price considering that the iPhone SE 4 panels are much lower than those charged by vendors for the OLED displays used in the iPhone 15, as the SE panels will use identical legacy parts to those used in the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14.
The Asian environment The Elec was the first to report that Apple was negotiating with its suppliers to receive the supply of OLED panels for the iPhone SE 4, a smartphone that would be launched in 2025. Although some rumors taken with tweezers suggest that the iPhone SE 4 could be called iPhone 16 SE in this year 2024.
The last update of the iPhone SE line occurred in March 2022 with the presentation of the iPhone SE 3. Its main changes were the incorporation of an A15 Bionic chip and 5G connectivity. Your screen did not receive major improvementswith a 4.7-inch LCD panel, resolution of 1,334 by 750 pixels and IPS technology.
According to new schematics based on Apple phone CAD files leaked in early March,The design of the iPhone SE 4 will be similar to the design of Apple’s iPhone 14. While other reports suggest that it could surprise us with a Dynamic Island, a design similar to the iPhone 14, a USB-C port and even an Action button.
