The Californian company wants to give a twist to the Always On Screen.
There are a couple of weeks left for the WWDC 2023, Apple’s developer conference, kicks off and we couldn’t be more excited about the products and software to be unveiled. to the regulars operating systemsboth iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and tvOS, we will surely have to add the arrival of the mixed reality. From the US, rumors are already beginning functions which will include the next version of iOS and one of them has powerfully caught our attention: turning the phone in a Intelligent Screen.
The Always On Display will return with more force in iOS 17
Mark Gurman, the guru of rumors and leaks from the Californian company, has recently published an article in Bloomberg in which he assures that iOS 17 will have a function will enhance the one known as Display Always On. If we already showed you the best tricks for iOS 16 in the past, it seems that we will have to be very attentive to the next version of the operating system, because it begins to demonstrate its potential potential.
NEW: Apple is planning a new smart-display-like mode in iOS 17, a new interface for information and notifications when an iPhone is locked and in landscape mode, as a major new feature. It’s a potential precursor to a standalone Apple smart home hub. https://t.co/mgFsu4nQ6x

The North American journalist assures that those devices with displays that support the functionalitywhen they update to iOS 17they will be able to show different types of information in a way never seen before. As with Google’s Pixel Tablet, which changes its interface when placed on its charging base, the iPhone will gain a new interface by having the Display Always On enabled and in landscape position. Presumably, it will be activated in the same way that it happens in other devices, as long as the phone is in a charging process, because otherwise the battery would suffer a significant drop in autonomy.
Mark Gurman has not been able to have official confirmation of this new function, but he has been able to speak with some people involved in the process of creating iOS 17 for confirm some interesting data on this new screen. It seems that the background be dark with clear typography and that it will continue the line of being able to show the widget of the lock screen in those iPhone apps that support it. We will have to wait, for the moment, a couple of weeks to find out for sure.
