At the end of last year, we learned that Nick Read, CEO of the operator, expressed his intentions to leave the company, leaving the financial director as interim CEO. Subsequently, something similar happened with its equivalent in the Spanish subsidiary of Vodafone.
However, Vodafone Spain already has a new executive director and this is what the company announces. Mário Vaz will be in charge of the Spanish division, a person linked for years to the red operator.

The new CEO of Vodafone Spain began his career in the Portuguese subsidiary in 1992. Since then, he has held various positions within it, such as the direction of the Consumer Unit in 2002. Finally, he reached the position of executive director in 2012.
During his tenure, he has managed to lead Vodafone Portugal to be one of the most recognized companies in the sector in the Iberian country. In addition, the transition from mobile to convergence has also occurred in the same period, as well as a large expansion of the fiber optic network.
Now, the Law graduate from the University of Lisbon will work at Vodafone Spain as the highest representative, succeeding Colman Deegan. The new CEO has shared his first statements affirming that “it is an honor for me to lead Vodafone Spain”, and assures that he wants to promote “the growth of the company” at all levels.
