The game was originally supposed to launch in October and would automatically be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC, but due to some changes the mind game that I co-created Rick and Morty is no longer coming on that date.
Instead, the game has now been pushed back to December, though planned platforms aren’t affected by the delay.
The latest on High On Life was shared by the social accounts that were created for the game where the delay was confirmed.
“THE GOOD NEWS: High On Life is still coming in 2022!” The Squanch Games team is hard at work developing the best gaming experience for your screens, and a little extra time to fix a few bugs never hurts. With that in mind, our new release date is set for December 13, 2022.”
said the creators announcement.
What the game offers from the co-creator of Rick and Morty
For those eager to pick it up when it launches, Squanch Games reminded prospective buyers that the game will also be available via Xbox Game Pass, both the console and PC versions, so if you have a subscription for that you will have the game on the way.
High On Life was first revealed back in June during the joint Xbox and Bethesda showcase.
It has aliens and talking guns which actually sounds a lot like something that would come from the mind of the person known from Rick and Morty and Solar Opposites.
The description of the game mentions the following:
“Fresh out of high school with no job and no ambitions, you really have nothing going for you until an alien cartel out to get high on humanity invades Earth. Now you and a team of charismatic talking gunslingers must answer the call hero and become the deadliest intergalactic bounty hunter the cosmos has ever seen.”
High On Life will be available for Xbox and PC consoles on December 13.
