A more discreet look and a much better sound quality
The Mountain View company presents the next generation of its first connected speaker, namely the Nest Audio. By renewing its enclosure, Google promises a marked improvement over its predecessor. First thing, its design is redesigned to be more discreet with a rounded and uniform. Admittedly more imposing, the Nest audio remains quite compact and will blend in very well with any interior. This speaker also brings an eco-friendly touch by offering recycled plastic and an entirely durable fabric covering, which can also be found on the mini version of the Google Nest.
Apart from its change of look, one of the strengths and not the least is its sound reproduction. Google significantly improves the sound rendering, promising 75% more power than the previous model. How? ‘Or’ What ? Thanks to the presence of a 19 mm tweeter and a 75 mm woofer with a 360° diffused sound made possible with the new design. Bass is also deeper than before — 50% richer. The American manufacturer has added software to adjust the sound quality to enjoy clearer voices and a more natural sound. There is also Ambient IQ technology for intelligent sound calibration that will automatically adapt to the room in which the speaker is located.
“Okay Google? “: the voice assistant of the giant always in the game
A true everyday ally, the Nest Audio has three long-range microphones, which will allow the speaker to hear your voice, wherever you are in the room, even with surrounding noise (TV, dishwasher, ambient noise strong…). Because yes, of course Google’s voice assistant is in the game. It will obey your voice to find out about the news, the weather, recipes, your agenda, or to start a timer or a song.
In addition, if you have connected objects at home, such as connected light bulbs or other speakers, you can also control them using Google Nest Audio. To do this, you will need to download the Google Home mobile application. Finally, this Nest Audio now allows you to pair several speakers in a multiroom system. So you can create a stereo sound system with ease.
