As the iPhone 14 release is fast approaching, a new leak shows that rumors of Apple adding a Plus model to the base model might be true. If this materializes, Apple’s next lineup could include the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Another change to the rear camera
In an image tweeted by DuanRui, we see four different cases intended for the future iPhone 2022. The leaker unearthed this information on a Weibo publication. Looking at the image, you can see that the iPhone 14 Plus will be a larger non-Pro device.
The camera bumps look very similar to the 13 range – however, whoever posted this suggests the distance between the lenses is slightly larger. That said, iPhone 13 cases probably won’t fit newer devices.
This new leak also confirms that Apple is planning to discontinue the iPhone mini this year. Loved by some, the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini are just as powerful but more compact. We actually had a soft spot for them.
Last month, we saw dummy units of the iPhone 14 featuring a similar design to last year’s iPhone 13s. If the back will not disorient customers, rumor has it that Apple is abandoning the notch at the top of the screen of the device. Both “Pro” should replace the “notch” with a hole and pill cutout.
Are you planning to upgrade to iPhone 14? In principle, the iPhone 14 Pro chip will be the new A16, while the two mid-range models will remain on the A15 processor.
