According to the technology outlet, mobile phone operators have asked their employees to come to work en masse on September 13th. The reason is supposedly due to a major smartphone announcement. In that case, we just have to add A + B to imagine that they refer to the next Apple iPhone 15.
Because? Very easy. It is the week in which the Cupertino they usually present their new smartphones. Plus, Samsung has already announced its foldable phones, and Google isn’t expected to take the stage with next-gen Pixel phones until October. So we can bet a hand and say that the next event is related to Manzanaand that it will probably be the day, or that the phones are announced, or that they go on sale.
For reference, the iPhone 14 was announced on September 7 and, coincidence or not, both dates fall on a Wednesday.
What can we expect?
Apple is said to have equipped the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus with the same A16 Bionic chipset as the Pro models of the previous generation. It is the high-end phones in the series, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, that will be equipped with the new SoC A17 Bionic. In addition, the frame on the side of the phone of these two models was made, as a novelty, of titanium. The other 2 models will retain the stainless steel frame like the current generation.
The screen of the brand’s phones will be a little bigger, thanks to the firm’s efforts to mount thinner bezels around it. The devices will have curved edges, unlike the sharper ones on previous generation phones, and all iPhone 15 that the brand present, supposedly, this September 13, will abandon the notch, in favor of the dynamic island.
The two iPhone 15 standard will get a new 48-megapixel lens, while the Pro Max would also debut a periscope-type lens for better optical zoom. Also, on all models, Apple would be discarding the old mute switch andn favor of an action button, which users can configure for various actions; open the camera, enable accessibility modes, toggle silent mode, etc.
Finally, thanks to the rules set by the European Union, Apple has been forced to switch from its proprietary connector to a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers. This would mean that, hopefully, the fast charging of the phones would be even faster.
Also, we can’t forget about iOS 17 official releasewhich will also offer some new features, such as a new application to help keep our mental well-being at bay, improvements to the security level and a facelift in some of the system apps.
