MSI has just announced the deployment of new updates to its first portable console, the MSI Claw, and players should install them very quickly, since they really boost in-game performance.
MSI has just updated the BIOS and graphics drivers of its Claw portable console. These have the numbers E1T41IMS.106 and 31.0.101.5445 respectively, and promise considerable performance improvements across different games.
To download them, gamers can go to the official MSI website for the BIOS update and the official Intel Arc website for the GPU driver. Starting with BIOS 106, users can also update the BIOS directly in the Windows environment without the need for an additional USB key or docking station.
What improvements can you expect in-game?
MSI has released a chart that shows performance before and after updates on different games. The most notable gain is on 7 Days to Die, as players can expect as much as 150% more performance. MSI specifies that these games have been set to 1080p with graphics at “low” and Intel’s XeSS technology activated on compatible titles.
We also note gains of 64% on Monster Hunter World, 58% on Cyberpunk 2077 or even 40% on GTA 5. Moreover, on the latter, remember that the latest Intel Core Ultra chips, which power the MSI Claw , does not work well with “MXAA” antialiasing. We therefore advise you to deactivate it, and opt for classic FXAA.
Among the lowest gains are +5% on Red Dead Redemption 2, +6.1% on Stray and +6.5% on Palworld. This only represents a few FPS on these titles, but any improvement is welcome.
If you own an MSI Claw, we therefore advise you to install these new updates without delay, which greatly boost the gaming performance of the device. As a reminder, Intel also regularly updates its own drivers for its Arc graphics cards and the latest Intel Core Ultra chips. These usually also allow you to get much better in-game scores, so don’t forget to update your drivers regularly.
