In response to a Twitter user, Pepephone has confirmed that “expects” to offer the MiultiSIM for this year. Before the end of 2022, it is expected to arrive for customers, but we do not yet know at what price, with what conditions, with what advantages or with what limitations, or for what devices.
@realapollosky Hello! 👋
I hope to be able to offer you the MultiSIM for this year. 😉
In the case of Apple Watch, it may take a little longer, as we depend on being certified by Apple.
Any news, I keep you informed through my social networks. 👀September 20, 2022 • 9:59 PM
We know that 2022 will arrive, although more details remain to be known and whether or not it will be included in some rates, how much it would cost per month, whether or not there would be a registration price or what would be the compatible devices on which we could use it.
What is MultiSIM
The MultiSIM service allows us to use two devices simultaneously with the same number, the same rate and the same conditions. We do not make a duplicate card that cancels the previous one, but rather we pay a small monthly amount or a small amount for registration and we have two SIM cards with the same conditions that we can use whenever we want to spend the same data, the same minutes included, etc.
We do have to keep in mind that both they work as a single number so it will ring the phone on all devices when they call you, for example. What is it for? In case you have a secondary phone that you usually take to places where the main phone is in danger, such as going out on a bicycle or going to a festival where it can be stolen or broken. The MultiSIM is also suitable for use on other devices: if you want to receive or make calls from your watch and it is compatible, or if you want to use the contracted gigabytes from a tablet when there is no Wi-Fi.
Delay for the Apple Watch
In the case of wanting to use the MultiSIM for the Apple Watch, you will have to wait a little longer. From the operator they have confirmed, through Twitter, that we will have to wait more. “In the case of the Apple Watch, it may take a little longer as we are dependent on Apple certifying us,” they explained in a tweet.
In addition, the tweet indicated that customers and users can be informed from social networks and, in the event of any news, they will communicate through them.
