If there is one area in which Dyson has the upper hand over all its competitors, it is that of stick vacuum cleaners where the British manufacturer offers a whole host of high-end models. Its latest addition is even considered to be the most powerful in its catalog, and the most expensive. But with this reduction ahead of Black Friday, the Dyson Gen5 Detect Absolute sees its price drop from 999 euros to 799 euros in the official store.
For several years, Dyson has been reinventing the household appliances sector with its connected lamps, hair dryers and even its air purifying headphones. Stick vacuum cleaners are, however, the area in which the British manufacturer shines best with high-end references costing several hundred euros, and almost a thousand euros for the Dyson Gen5 Detect Absolute. The latter is currently on sale in the official store where it benefits from a reduction of 200 euros.
The Dyson Gen5 Detect Absolute in a few words
- Able to convert from a stick vacuum to a handheld vacuum
- A power of 280 AW!
- Battery life of 70 minutes in Eco mode
- The green light that reveals invisible dirt
Instead of the usual 999 euros, the Dyson Gen5 Detect Absolute is now available on sale for 799 euros in the official store.
Doing your housework has never been so enjoyable
The Dyson Gen5 Detect Absolute is not just a simple vacuum cleaner, it is a real high-tech tool. Successor to the famous Dyson V15, it incorporates everything that made the latter successful, such as the Point & Shoot to empty the dust bin and the hybrid format allowing it to be transformed into a hand vacuum cleaner and thus more easily clean sofas and other furniture. On the other hand, this new model is accompanied by a weight gain of around 500 grams compared to the V15, which does not fail to weigh on the arm after a few minutes of cleaning.
In this pack, the Dyson Gen5 Detect is accompanied by several suction heads, including a long 2-in-1 nozzle, a self-detangling motorized mini-brush, the Digital Motorbar brush which automatically adjusts its power according to the type of floor , and the famous Optic Fluffy with its green laser which detects invisible particles and which covers twice as much surface area as before. Other good news: the trigger has been replaced by the On/Off button, so the vacuum cleaner can no longer be turned on accidentally when handling it.
Even more powerful and durable than the V15!
The big novelty of this Dyson Gen5 Detect is its new in-house motor, the Hyperdimium Gen5 which runs at 135,000 revolutions per minute and gives the vacuum cleaner a power of 280 AW, a record. The Dyson V15 already worked wonders on all types of floors, from parquet to thick carpet, with its 240 AW power, but the Gen5 Detect does even better. Plus, with its built-in HEPA filter, this stick vacuum can capture 99.99% of particles as small as 0.1 microns and even viruses.
As with the V15, the Dyson Gen5 Detect offers three suction modes that can be selected on the LCD screen which also indicates the number and types of particles sucked up as well as the remaining battery life. This has also been improved, going from 60 minutes in Eco mode to 70 minutes. This still seems small, but it’s usually more than enough to clean your home in one go. On the other hand, it still takes a long time to be recharged since it takes more than 3h30 for the battery to refill.
