Obi Wan Kenobi, the brand new series from the Star Wars universe, unveils its very first trailer. 1 minute 46 of pure happiness for fans, which allows you to learn a little more about the different places explored by the series and the mission entrusted to the Jedi master.
We had left him desperate for the path taken by his student Anakin Skywalker at the end of Revenge of the Sith, we find him 10 years later in exile. The famous Jedi master Obi Wan Kenobiinterpreted as it should be by actor Ewan McGregor, is entitled to its own TV series.
After The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, Obi Wan Kenobi is the third Star Wars (live action) series newly created for Disney+. This fills the hole left gaping between Episodes 3 and 4 of the film saga.
Disney+ unveils the very first Obi Wan Kenobi trailer
As we learn from the “teaser trailer” (this is how Disney+ calls the trailer), most of the series takes place on Tatooine. But not only, because we see other planets at the turn of certain images. One of them looks like Coruscant, but it seems that the information was denied by the production.
On the plot side, Obi Wan seems to want to protect the young Luke Skywalker (who is only 10 years old) at all costs. The future Jedi grows up peacefully on Tatooine, away from the conflicts between the Empire and the Rebellion. If we are to believe the images of the trailer, it also seems that Sith are in the game and that they are precisely looking for the young protege of the Jedi Master.
Certainly, fans will regret the absence of Anakin Skywalker in this trailer. But the famous villain will indeed return to the series, it’s official. We know that he will be played by Hayden Christensen, who already lent his features to the character in Episodes 2 and 3. Rest assured, there is no doubt that Darth Vader will be present in one of the next trailers for the series.
The Obi Wan Kenobi series will be broadcast from May 25, 2022 on Disney+. If we comply with the usual schedule of the streaming platform, it is likely that the first day will be broadcast 1 or 2 episodes and that the others will follow in the following weeks, with one episode each Wednesday.
