A photo was shared in March showing the white boxed Elite Series 2 controllers, but nothing has been heard from them since.
However, a video showing control by a YouTuber named Nicholas Lugo was posted in July and remained undiscovered until it was found Monday by Twitter user Rebs Gaming.
The video, which can be seen in the tweet embedded below, appears to show what the person shooting the video refers to as the “only white Xbox Elite in the United States.”
The controller appears to be authentic (although the packaging tape comes off too easily, implying that it had already been opened), but there is no information on how Lugo acquired it.Microsoft has yet to officially announce the existence of the white Xbox Elite Series 2 controller.
Elite Series 2, which is usually only available in black (except for a limited edition Halo version), was released in November 2019.
The features of the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller
According to the owner of the platform, it is “the most advanced control in the world to date” and took four years to develop.
It includes interchangeable joystick and paddle shapes, and a button that allows gamers to quickly switch between up to three custom profiles and one default.
It also features exclusive configuration options through the Xbox Accessories app, such as adjusting deadzone and mapping buttons to voice commands.
The controller offers up to 40 hours of rechargeable battery life and is the first Xbox controller to also feature an internal battery.
