The different launches made by air purifier brands are a sign of the interest that this type of device has aroused for some time now. There are simpler ones, like the IKEA model that we were able to analyze in its day, and other more complex ones that are integrated into the connected home, such as the OneLife X.
It’s about a air purifier with plasma filter technology which, according to the brand, is capable of eliminating 99.99% of all contaminating particles without having to replace the filter. A device that can also be integrated into home decoration thanks to its careful design.
Without having to change the filter
It is a compact purifier with a body with rounded shapes with a structure made of bamboo. The OneLife X works both lying down and standing up to facilitate placement in different parts of the house.
To clean the air in the home, this purifier makes use of a plasma filter that can be easily cleaned. The filter is made up various metal plates that act as magnets giants to attract pollutants from the air. Upon entering the purifier, contamination particles are charged (ionized) so that they adhere directly to the collector sheets.
By not having to conduct the air, less energy consumption and less noise during operation are possible. The manufacturer advertises that it consumes only 6 watts, less than an LED lamp. This purifier generates noise between 25 and 45 dB and is capable of cleaning the air in a room of 25 m² thanks to a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 65 cubic feet per minute.
When it comes to connectivity, the OneLife X can be controlled from an iOS or Android mobile with the app of the same name. An app that provides detailed data on air quality at home, pollution levels outside, and monitors room temperature and humidity. It also allows you to create a personal profile in the application and specify, for example, asthma, allergies or pets.
To further facilitate control and smart home integration, the OneLife X purifier is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. In addition and as they tell in HomeKitNews, the brand reports that they are working to implement the integration with HomeKit and are currently waiting to go through the Apple certification process.
Price and availability
The OneLife X is currently in development on Indiegogo, a platform where it can be reserved for $799 with deliveries scheduled for March this year.
