Samsung continues bringing One UI 6.1 to more devices. During the last days of March the company updated the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 to the new version of One UI, and recently they began to bring this update to the Galaxy S22. Now it is the turn of Samsung’s most premium phones for 2021.
The entire Galaxy S21 family has begun to receive One UI 6.1, in addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3. However, although the big novelty of One UI 6.1 is the artificial intelligence functions of Galaxy AI, these mobiles you will only receive one of these functions.
The Galaxy S21 and the third generation of Samsung foldables only receive some AI functions
Originally, the Galaxy AI features They arrived exclusively for the Galaxy S24 family, but Samsung announced that artificial intelligence functions would also reach mobile phones and tablets from previous years. However, not all features would be available on all models.
For example, The Galaxy S22 has almost all the functions of Galaxy AI, with the exception of instant slow motion. On the other hand, the Galaxy S23 and the fifth generation of Samsung foldables do have access to all artificial intelligence functions.
In the case of the Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3, they will only receive an artificial intelligence function: Circle to search. This could be because they are mobile phones with older and more limited hardware, although for now there is no official explanation for this. Likewise, it is also unclear whether other AI functions, such as call translation or generative AI wallpaper creation, will come to these devices in the future, although it is unlikely that this will be the case.
These are the devices that have started receiving One UI 6.1:
The update is available first to users in Korea, as is usual, but in the coming days and weeks it will begin to reach users in the rest of the world, including, of course, users in Spain, Latin America and the United States .
