iOS 17 has arrived to revolutionize our iPhone and surprise users, like every year. Apple usually puts emphasis on those new features that attract the most attention of users. However, today what we are going to do is review those features of iOS 17 that are also going to be decisive in the use of our devices and that no one has told you about yet.
The not-so-known features of iOS 17
perfect photos
Before taking a photo with your iPhone and wanting it to turn out perfect, you have to keep a few things in mind. Is there good light? Do you see any lines that serve as a guide so that the image is straight? Are you focusing well on the object or person? Yes, there are a few things to keep in mind. One of the most important, therefore, is that the photo does not come out crooked or tilted, unless we want to do it that way on purpose.
Now in iOS 17, with the new level feature in the camera app, you don’t have to rack your brains to know if your iPhone is tilted or not. It will help you take perfectly straight photos.
Lock the white balance in your photos
One of the most annoying things when we are taking videos with the iPhone are the sudden changes in light that make our video suddenly darker or lighter. Normally these sudden light changes don’t look good at all. Therefore, it is now possible to lock the white balance so that this does not happen.
To do this, go to the Settings from your iPhone, go to Camera, then select the option Record a video. Scroll down all the way and check the option Lock white balance.
Check app download progress
Now, from the App Store, every time you download or update an application you will be able to see the remaining time in addition to the typical blue animation that we already had before. Even if you have a good internet connection, if you tend to download heavy applications or Apple Arcade games often, this new feature will come in handy to keep you informed.
Siri can do more than one thing at a time
Siri, the voice assistant that Apple users love and hate at the same time, incorporates a small improvement that was absolutely necessary and we will all be grateful. It will now be possible to make more than one request at a time.
You don’t need to invoke Siri different times for different actions. Just one will be enough. For example, “Hey Siri, remind me to water the plants tomorrow. Add bread to the shopping list.”
Create events from the Spotlight bar
This is one of the most original features of iOS 17. Enter the Spotlight search bar and start typing a date, for example “Tuesday the 21st”. You will see that a banner quickly appears in the form of a calendar event so you can quickly add that event to your Calendar.
Get reminders in the Reminders app!
Yes, it sounds funny that before you couldn’t receive task reminders in the reminders app, but that’s how it was. I am referring to the Calendar App’s own reminders that allow us to receive a notice days, weeks or months before the task or event. This was something that the Reminders app absolutely needed and we finally have it here.
