Good news for those who are impatiently awaiting the animated film Super Mario Bros, Nintendo has planned an event in two days which will be entirely dedicated to it. No information on console games will be provided during this unusual Nintendo Direct.
A very special Nintendo Direct event
The first presentation of the Super Mario Bros movie will take place in two days. Nintendo has announced that the film will have a dedicated presentation on October 6, 2022 at 10:05 p.m. PST. This presentation only focuses on the mustachioed plumber, so there will be no information on upcoming Nintendo Switch games.

The film features a well-rounded voice cast, with Mario himself notably being played by Chris Pratt, while Jack Black plays the iconic villain Bowser. For the moment, no French voice has been confirmed, the release of Super Mario Bros being still a bit far since it is scheduled for April 7, 2023. The film had been postponed to the end of the year holiday period. 2022 following negotiations between Nintendo and the animation studio Illumination.
A priori, this will not be the only program of the Japanese giant, the company having also created a site Nintendo Pictures, indicating that more film adaptations may be coming. Cross-media collaboration is a hot topic in the gaming industry right now, with several big games being adapted into movies and TV series, like PlayStation and Naughty Dog working with HBO on a The Last of Us series.
