In the market we can find a large number of monitors of all sizes, formats, resolutions, Hz and more. We can also find monitors focused on certain jobs such as design and content creation, monitors with very specific specifications.
If you are a developer and are looking for a monitor focused on your work, you should take a look at the solution that BenQ offers with the RD series.
BenQ Developer Monitors
This new range of monitors is designed to offer maximum quality and comfort when programming thanks to the panel’s MoonHalo backlight design, a panel exclusive to the RD series. This panel offers the perfect lighting so that long hours of work do not become torture for the eyes.
Includes Night Hours Protection technology that combines a minimum brightness level and an eye care filter optimized for use in low ambient light environments. In addition, it includes a sensor that is responsible for detecting the level of ambient light to automatically adapt and the Brightness Intelligence Gen 2 brightness correction system.
You can disable the operation of this sensor from the settings and manually set the brightness level, color temperature, light mode and much more. The new BenQ RD series for developers consists of the following models.
- RD240Q. 24-inch 16:10 format model
- RD280U / RD280UA. 28.2 inch 3:2 format.
- RD320U / RD320UUA. With 16:9 format and 31.9 inches.
The RD1240Q, RD280U and RD280UA models have a different aspect ratio than usual as they are designed to display more lines of text vertically (simpler), while the RD320U and RD320UA model is aimed at users with longer lines of code ( more complex).
All models include fixed and adjustable supports to adapt to the user’s height, and are also compatible with VESA mount to place on an articulated arm. According to BenQ, the company has designed a tailored product to meet the needs of developers, which is why it has also considered the option that many developers use, which is the possibility of rotate screen 90 degrees making it easy to see more lines of code at a glance without having to scroll through the screen.
All models feature Multi-Stream Transport technology to connect multiple monitors in a chain using one port USB-Chave support for KVM And, like other environmentally conscious manufacturers, these models are made from recycled materials and designed for minimal energy consumption.
Price availability
The new RD series of BenQ monitors designed for programmers and consisting of 4 models is scheduled to be launched during the first half of the year. At the moment we do not know what their price will be, but, taking into account that they do not offer a high refresh rate or OLED panels, the price of these models should not be very far from the monitors of a similar size that we can currently find on the market but which are not designed specifically for the developer community.
