Although we all expect a special Apple event for October, focused on hardware and in order to present the new batch of M2 chip equipment, it seems that the matter is not at all clear. Mark Gurman points out that there will not be a special event next month, which opens the question of how Apple will present the new equipment.
The posibilities apply to a silent renewal of equipmentmaintaining its specifications, but making the leap to the M2 chip, especially considering that the company renewed the design of the MacBook Pro with the presentation of the M1 Pro and Max.
However, that long-awaited renewal of the Mac mini is still pending. Making the leap to the M2 and at the same time renewing its design, which maintains the same design from the Intel era, and is the only one that has not received a major renovation in recent years.
All in all, we expected a special presentation event, since there are too many teams pending renewal, in addition to the rumored iPad Pro that would also receive a hardware update. In addition, the launch of macOS Ventura is pending, as well as the arrival of iPadOS 16 with the expected new window management system, which Apple delayed.
Apple has a lot of hardware pending renewal
In total, an event with the renewal or upgrade of the following equipment is expected:
- Mac mini M2 and M2 Pro.
- MacBook Pro M2 Pro and M2 Max 14 and 16 inches.
- iPad Pro M2 11 and 12.9 inches.
all of it together with the aforementioned launch of their respective new operating systems. Gurman also mentions that an update to the Apple TV with a new A14 chip and increased RAM is pending, which could also launch this year. He rules out, however, that the long-awaited Mac Pro with M2 chips will launch this year.
While the list is important, Gurman says Apple is likely to release its remaining products by 2022 through press releases, updates to its website, and briefings with select members of the press. That is, without a big event in between.
The 2023 iPhone Pro Max will be an iPhone Ultra
Another point that Gurman makes has to do with the iPhone of 2023. He points out that next year there will be a substitute for the iPhone Pro Max, which will become an iPhone Ultra. A movement similar to this year with the launch of the Apple Watch Ultra. There are not many details about it, but it is a movement to take into account.
