Digi is one of the most popular companies or at least that is my personal impression when talking with friends and acquaintances and I see how many use this operator in their homes. In fact, I’ve been with them for two months since I jumped from O2.
Its about ZTE H3600Pa model that is installed in homes that already have fiber and in the case of users who require equipment that supports WiFi 6. A router with an independent ONT to work with Movistar’s indirect fiber at those points where Digi does not have its own infrastructure.
With WiFi 6 and Easymesh compatible
With this new router, there are already eleven models used for indirect fiber over the Movistar network, but also for use with its own Smart fiber or for the fiber upgraded to XGS-PON called Pro, of which five correspond to models available for GPON fiber
In this case the ZTE H3600P router arrives with the ONT independently and bet on a design in a vertical format, and with rounded shapes that you can remember some old hard drives, multimedia that we could find on the market.
For the rest and in terms of connections, ZTE H3600P has a 1 Gb WAN port which is used to connect the router to the standalone ONT, a device about the size of a cigarette pack. In addition, it offers 3 1 Gb LAN ports, one RJ11 socket for the phone and one USB 2.0 port to which you can connect from printers, to USB drives, storage or even a device to give you 4G connectivity.
From the rest of the features, it should be noted that this is a WiFi 6 router that can work in both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. With these features you can achieve a speed of more than 570 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band and more than 2,400 Mbps in the 5 GHz band.
It has 2 MU-MIMO antennas in each band, which can mean that in some cases the coverage is not very powerful. It is also compatible with the EasyMesh standard, so compatible repeaters can be used to create a mesh network system.
