We already have enough rumors about iOS 17, and they will soon be history as soon as the system is officially revealed on June 5 at WWDC 2023). But there is still enough time to see how some designers imagine the novelties that we are going to see in the keynote.
And this is where Nicholas Ghigo comes in, a designer who has collected what most users ask for to come to iOS 17 and has made it come true in a video whose quality is on a par with Apple’s own presentation videos.
New widgets, new icons and more customization
Some novelties that Nicholas is committed to are new fonts and widgets for the lock screen, the possibility of seeing the lyrics of the songs that are playing on Apple Music from that same screen, a new design with a little more highlight for the icons o new Home and Health Widgets for the home screen.
You can also see good ideas in the video like the possibility of having multiple timers and something that has appeared in the rumor mill: a redesigned and more customizable control center. And be careful: the option to be able to block with FaceID any application that we have installed regardless of whether its developer allows it or not.
Would we like something like this? Obviously, but the fact that users request a feature a lot does not mean by itself that Apple will implement it. And if not, let’s look at the example of the hypothetical button to close all applications. The good news is that there are only a few days left to solve all the puzzles of both OS 17 and iPadOS 17 and macOS 14.
