Space tourism could be one of the main tourist attractions of the future, and that is because different aerospace companies are creating all kinds of ships that are going to allow us to do different trips to space.
And now a company spacial tourism Madrilenian wants to take you to space, at least to the edge of it, through an imposing ecological balloon, in a project future where if you meet their prices, you can make all the trips you want to the edge of space.
And now the Madrid-based space tourism company, Halo Space, wants to start offering zero-emission commercial flights aboard a sleek circular capsule attached to a balloonfrom 2025, and at a price that would be around the €200,000they affirm from dailymail.
For this, they will put into play an advanced capsule capable of transporting eight passengers plus a pilot per trip, with panoramic windows allowing a glimpse 360° views of the Earth at an altitude of up to 40 km.
The issue is so advanced that they will start with the first test flight of a prototype of their capsule this December in India, to carry out a second test in Spain at the end of the first quarter of 2023.
When they successfully complete the tests, the company intends to start its commercial flights in 2025and later include installed bases on four continents.
Space tourism within the reach of few pockets
On the other hand, from 2029 they intend to carry out a total of 400 commercial trips with 3,000 passengers per yearwith a price that would range between €100,000 and €200,000 per ticket.
The idea is that customers can see the curvature of the earth for 4 to 6 hours under “an amazing experience”, says the company.
“For the last 12 months we have worked with the best and most experienced companies in the aerospace industry to take advantage of existing, proven and safe technology.”, he points out Charles MiraCEO and founder of Halo Space.
“The team is very pleased with what we have achieved in this first year, but we are even more excited about where we are headed: taking thousands of passengers to the edge of space in a life-changing experience up to 40 km above the surface. Land“, Add.
“Our goal is to successfully launch our flight capsule reaching an altitude of 35 km before descending, finally landing and recovering the prototype.“, Add Alberto CastrilloCTO of Halo Space.
“In the process we will validate the flight simulation algorithms, test the communication between the flight control capsule and collect thousands of data points from the sensors installed in the capsule.“, Add.
According to the company, these pressurized capsules ascend without CO2 emissions “making them the most ecological way to visit space”.
So if you plan to join the new rush of space tourism, save money, and surely you can go to the edge of space with this series of avant-garde balloons.
