More and more people are trying to echo on OnlyFans, a platform where users upload content (usually erotic) and other people subscribe and pay for it. The clearest reference in this world, in addition to being a content creator on Twitch, is Amouranth, who recently learned of her chilling numbers on OnlyFans. And it is that the streamer was able to win almost 30 million dollars annually on said platform, being a very lucrative source of income.
However, what if someone who doesn’t have such a large fan base starts their journey on OnlyFans? This is the question that the German streamer Seltix has asked himself, along with another content creator named Haken. He ended up documenting this experiment in a video for his YouTube channel, stating that “OnlyFans stands above the rest” when it comes to monetizing published content.
Starting on OnlyFans without having a large audience behind it is possible
Although it is still a taboo subject, OnlyFans has transcended to another league, and there are many people who venture to this platform to try to earn some money. In the case of Seltix, wanted to find out how much money he could make without being a celebrity from the likes of Amouranth and other similar content creators. That is why she set out to do an experiment by contacting Haken, a not-so-known content creator who already had experience selling erotic photographs. In this way, he started uploading content to OnlyFans every day for a week.
In the experiment they realized that making money with OnlyFans worked even if they had a very small audience compared to other big streamers. Hakan, with just over 5,000 followers on Twitter, he was able to raise almost $1,000 in just one week (908 dollars specifically). If we deduct the commission that OnlyFans takes, the content creator netted $687. From the first day he commented that he was already reaching three figures.
Seltix explains that many payments have come from specific requests made through private messages. After starting the experiment, in just 10 minutes Hakan got “two fans”, thus taking advantage of the content that was requested or uploaded on his own account on the platform.
The experiment makes it clear that it is possible to make a good profit without the need to have the gigantic figures of a well-known content creator. However, one must also keep in mind that even if Hakan and Seltix do not have a large community in comparison, they already had a certain fan base. Hakan, the streamer who ventured to become an OnlyFans, had just over 4,000 followers on Twitch, a figure well below what most well-known content creators are used to, but still a loyal audience for this streamer. .
