Two elves in the Stark court
Indeed, the premiere of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has brought us the return of two actors who, also in their own way, are connected to The House of the Dragon. Not so much because they appear in the new HBO production as because their characters are the heirs of some that we have already seen on screen -even if only in passing- in the first chapters of the first season.
They are Ned Stark as a young man and Benjen Stark, played by Robert Aramayo and Joseph Mawle, respectively. They are both very topical because have jumped on the bandwagon of Amazon fiction and in addition, they do it in two important roles such as those of the elf Elrond and the orc (therefore elf) Adar.
The first of these is, neither more nor less, that the young version of the legendary Elrond played by Hugo Weaving in Peter Jackson movies, and that in The Rings of Power He is helping Galadriel in his own way to confirm her suspicions that there is a threat that could turn the peoples of Middle-earth into blood. A battle that has just begun and in which all the pieces are looking for their role on the board.
key roles
Well, that Elrond played a young Ned Stark in four episodes of Game of Thrones in which the past in the life of the lord of Winterfell was recalled, the northernmost kingdom of Westeros and adjacent to the famous wall that the white walkers will assault in the last seasons of the HBO series.
In the case of Joseph Mawle, his appearance in The Rings of Power didn’t take place until the third episode when we meet the one who is the head of the Orcs who has Arondir captive, and who practically presents himself to us as a dark lord at the service of evil that is nesting in Middle-earth. A character who, under the kilos of latex hides a member of the Starks of Game of Thrones: Bengen.
As you can see in the video that we leave you just above, Benjen Stark is the one who saves Jon Snow in the sixth chapter of the seventh season of Game of Thronesa memorable installment in which we saw how the white walkers begin to make their way towards the lands beyond the wall and that will mark everything that is narrated in the eighth and last batch of episodes.
The fact is that, from now on you no longer see both Elrond and Adar with the same eyes in The Rings of Powertwo purebred Starks who have made the leap to the universe of The Lord of the rings. Did you recognize them?
