We have recently talked about the advantages, prices and hybrid and electric cars and at least in hybrids we have seen that one of the most accessible models reaches a price of over four hundred thousand pesos, it is Prius, a car that combines a gasoline combustion engine with an electric one, a feature that allows it to generate high performance in fuel consumption.
It may interest you… How much does it cost to charge a Tesla in Mexico at home?
But what if we talk about a fully electric one, yes, you thought about it, its price is much higher, at least cars with all the safety features, stability, dimensions, etc. But if what we are looking for is a cheap electric car, this proposal promises to be a good option.
Recently Marcelo Ebrard, Secretary of Foreign Relations, announced that in 2023 the Quantum E4 will arrive in Mexico, a Bolivian electric car that will be the cheapest option in our country.
This car is part of the line offered by Quantum Motors, a company born in 2016 that develops all kinds of electric vehicles: cars, bicycles, scooters, motorcycles and tricycles.
And although it was born in Bolivia, thanks to a new alliance between Quantum Motors and the Mexican company Potential Industrial, the Quantum E4 will also be assembled in Mexico, specifically in Iztapalapa.
The first thing you should know is that it is a small car, which can fit a maximum of 3 people and it is not made to take such long trips, since with a charge it has a range of between 50-70 km (depending on the version you choose) .
Of course, the charges are relatively fast, since the charge will last between 5-6 hours and reaches a maximum speed of between 50-55 km/h in any of its presentations, thanks to its 4000w power motor.
Now, as we told you above, the Quantum E4 has three different models: one with a 100 Ah (ampere hour) lead battery, one with 80 Ah lithium and one with 100 Ah lithium. And their prices start at $129,000 mxn with the E4 with a lead battery, then $150,000 mxn with an 80 Ah lithium battery and finally the one with a 100 Ah lithium battery costs approximately 160,399 pesos.
Undoubtedly a very cheap option being totally electric, but it is the only thing we can find in this model, electric and cheap. Its maximum speed 55 k/h and autonomy of maximum 70 km for every 5 hours of charging, so your daily travel radius cannot exceed 25 kilometers one way to have the rest back considering that you cannot charge during your stay in destiny. We will read each other in the next one.
