We have seen different possibilities pass through here to access DTT without having to use the classic antenna through mobile or TV applications. You only need an Internet connection and thus access a wide variety of content. This is the case of other options such as Tivify, the platform with which you can watch a total of 80 channels TV online or on smart devices.
A platform that has a free plan but also a paid service that expands the possibilities for the user. It can be used through an app to Android, Android TV, Google TV, iOS, iPadOS and with the web browser. And now let’s see everything it offers.
More than 80 channels available
To begin with, the first thing that stands out is the possibility of accessing the platform for free. With this plan you can access the live content from different channels without ads or payments. Channels, especially DTT, as well as the regional channels of various provinces, and some thematic and international channels.
If you have problems receiving the DTT signal, it is a good alternative, since it also allows recording of programs (only RTVE and regional in free mode), access the programming of the last 7 days (also limited to RTVE and regional and 60 hours available 30 days in free mode). With the free plan you can link 3 devices and play on only one.
But for those looking for more, there are the payment options with the plus and premium plans. With these modes it is offered like the previous one, access to more than 80 open channels to those in the Premium Plan, a choice of premium channels is added, such as AXN, AXN White, TNT, TCM, Calle 13, SYFY, Mezzo, Mezzo live HD, Surf, Motorvision.tv, CNN…
In these two modes, program reset and control, access to the last 7 days, recordings in authorized programs and 350 hours of recordings available for 90 days. In addition, up to five devices can be linked and two simultaneous displays are supported.
Tivify is a platform to watch online television channels, a concept that may remind you of Pluto TV, although there are certain differences. And it is that Tivify is not a channel aggregator, although it is used to watch DTT channels live. The difference is that it supports more channels, upon payment, some thematic, sports, international…
Regardless of the television channel we watch, in all plans the interface is the same. On the left side of the screen we will see a menu of options where you can access the TV guide and the list of channels with their content, as well as your recordings or even links to the applications you may have installed (Netflix, YouTube… .). It also includes a series of movies and programs that you will be able to consume.
When starting playback, if we click on the three points in the lower right area we can make the recording (supported in some programs) or change the language. And in the case of using the web browser, opt for the PiP (Picture in Picture) mode with a reduced window.
Tivify has no ads and no lower resolution on its free plan. All plans support 1080p resolution as maximum and in all of them the interface is identical, one of the differentiating notes from other proposals.
Tivify can be viewed from almost any device. There is a web version available that you can access on the Tivify.tv page and also versions for Android on Google Play, for iOS on the App Store, for Fire TV, and native application for Samsung Smart TV, TVs with Android TV and for LG TVs. It is also compatible with Chromecast so that you can stream locally.
In order to use Tivify, either in free or paid mode, you must register on the web. It will only be necessary to provide name, surname and an email address to create the account, which you have to accompany with a password. In the case of opting for a payment plan, you will have to give your credit card number.
Along with the free plan, the Plus Plan is priced at €3.99 per month, for €7.99 per month of the Premium Plan that can be €69.95 if you opt for an annual payment and thus save almost 30 euros.
