Do you also get an error sending any video file through WhatsApp? It is a fairly general problem, we have been able to verify it. And there is a simple solution to correct it: we will explain it to you.
You have been in any of your chats and decided to attach a file. You searched your gallery until you found the video you wanted, you attached it to the chat and, after the conversion process, WhatsApp gave you an error warning that It cannot be sent and you need to attach another file. It is currently happening to a large number of Android users, including us.
«This video cannot be sent. Choose a different one and try again.”
The problem affects the latest versions of WhatsApp, both beta and stable. It is expanding to users in all countries and affects randomly. The problem is that, no matter what your turn, You will not be able to attach any video to conversations: it will always give you an error.
The conversion process is giving errors: when attaching the video, WhatsApp cannot complete the processing to adapt the size and bitrate of the file to the requirements of the WhatsApp servers. This causes the shipment to stop making it impossible to attach this type of multimedia content. And it only affects the sending, not the receiving of the videos.
Is there a way to fix it? Well, the truth is that yes, although you should be careful to make a backup copy of your WhatsApp first: you must delete all data to fix the app problem. It is done as follows:
- Make sure you back up your chats and all content.
- Once the backup is done, access your Android settings and enter the “Applications” section.
- Go to the list, search for WhatsApp and access its menu.
- Go to “Storage”.
- Click on “Clear storage”. Remember to have made the backup.
- Open WhatsApp and log in again.
- Restore the backup and you will have corrected the failure to send the videos.
Until WhatsApp updates the application there are no other solutions than deleting the app’s storage and starting over. If you saved the backup you won’t lose anything along the way: it will only take a couple of minutes of your time.
