August has arrived and with it one of the hottest periods of the summer has begun, in fact, in various parts of Spain temperatures have been reached that until a few years ago seemed unthinkable. With this in mind, simply performing mundane tasks like driving has become risky.
And, it is that, high temperatures not only favor road accidents but, on a day-to-day basis, they cause wear and tear on the skin of all the people who sit in the driver’s seat of the vehicles. It may make sense to wear sunscreen whenever you drive, but it’s not something many people do.
Normally it is thought that one is only exposed to the dangers of the sun when going to the beach or hiking, cycling or running during peak hours. But the truth is thatand the sun is always there emitting its rays that illuminate the streets and allow plants to grow.
The crystals or, better said, the windows of the vehicles do not usually have protection for the wide range of UV rays. In addition, the situation is aggravated when taking into account that many people believe that by being inside the vehicle they will not suffer any type of damage to their skin since the sun does not directly affect them.
This being something completely false since the sun passes through the windows without any problem, reaching the skin of all the people who are inside the passenger compartment and printing itself without being able to remedy it in the case of not wearing any type of sun protection such as sun creams.
Of course, there are vehicles that integrate UV filters; although the filtering range is not usually high and they normally have the minimum to pass the required controls. Also, the UV filter may be on the windshield and the windows are not. have any type of protection against these rays.
Being unable to ensure protection against UV rays inside vehicles, experts recommend protecting all parts exposed to the sun with sun cream. So short-term problems of sun exposure such as sunburns can be avoided as well as long-term problems such as skin cancers.
