Windows 11 had a launch complicated on October 5, 2021. Today, at the end of September 2022, its most important update to date arrives: Windows 11 22H2. The operating system arrives with important news, not only a change of Interface and a little more.
Yesterday we talked about what it meant Windows 11 and its update at the end of 2022, just when it is about to be a year after the launch of the OS. We all remember how bad it went and how much Microsoft has worked to fix that mess.
The operating system has begun to deploy the Windows 11 22H2 update which, in the company’s own words, represents the biggest change in the system so far, so expectations have been high for months.
The aptly named Windows 11 2022 Update is rolling out to more than 190 countries today, bringing a host of new features and functionality to the operating system. If you want to know how to download and install the update, read on.
As with any software update in Windows, you may not be notified when it is available. Of course, in the main interface it appears when Microsoft is ready to give you the new version.
If you want to check if you can download the update, go to Settings > Windows Update and click the button Search for updates. If you can download the update, you’ll see a box that says “Windows 11, version 2H22 is available.”
Final steps and news of the new operating system
From there, press Download and install to start the updateand then restart your PC when it’s done. If you’re coming from Windows 10, the process is similar, but it has an extra step. Before you install the latest version of Windows, make sure your device meets the minimum requirements.
Some of the highlights of the Windows 11 2022 Update include: tabs in File Explorer, system-wide live subtitles, improvements to Snap layouts, a Focus feature, more Windows Studios camera and audio effects, and much more.
