If your current PC isn’t powerful enough to install Windows 11, now there’s a solution. A “Lite” version, named Tiny11, has just been launched, and allows the new operating system to be installed on older machines.
Since its launch, one of the main criticisms made of Windows 11 is its rather high hardware requirements, which make the operating system incompatible with many computers. Some are also so precise that they probably significantly slow down the adoption of the new version, which has so far found its place in less than 20% of PCs.
Fortunately, for those who do not have a powerful enough machine, you now have an alternative to this problem: Tiny11. This is a new version of the operating system that not only significantly lowers the hardware bar for access, but also removes many superfluous elements.

Tiny11 wants to replace Windows 11 on less powerful machines
Tiny11, designed by NTDEV, is basically an ISO based on Windows 11 Pro 22H2. As the developer states, it contains “ everything you need for a comfortable computing experience, without the preinstalled software and hassle of a standard Windows installation “.
This Windows 11 Pro 22H2 stripped mod only requires 8 GB of storage space for installation, 2 GB RAM, and maybe the best part, it doesn’t require TPM and Secure Boot. As a reminder, TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot had been the main culprits of the criticisms made of Windows 11 when it was released, in particular because few PCs on the market were compatible. NTDev reveals that operating system files take up 6.34 GB of space, while apps that survived the removal take up 1.59 GB.
Finally, as is often the case with these modified versions, one of the main drawbacks is the tracking of updates. You won’t be able to install new versions from Windows Update, so you’ll have to track the release of new features and manually install the ones you want. For now, the developer announces that at least one update per month will be deployed.
