If there is a series of economical devices, that is the “A” of Xiaomi and Redmi. They have been releasing extremely cheap smartphones with modest specifications and simple designs for a couple of years. Users with a lower budget have welcomed them with open arms and the company has decided, once again, to renew the series. He Redmi A3 is about to be launched and we already know many of its details.
90 Hz screen and 6 GB of RAM for less than 100 euros?
A good string of leaks about this have come from India Xiaomi Redmi A3 which, as it could not be otherwise, replaces the Redmi A2. HE officially launches on February 14but the company did not want to wait too long and has already revealed some interesting data.
We know that the device has a renewed design with flat frames, a flat back and a large circular camera module. Its general appearance changes quite a bit compared to previous generations and now, although it is, it clearly does not seem like the cheapest mobile phone in the catalog.
And the good news is not only present in its design, but also in its amount of RAM, the camera or the screen. Xiaomi has taken a leap in this economic series and will now offer 90 Hz on the Redmi A3 screen. Its size? 6.71 inches.
The RAM memory goes from 3 GB in the previous model to a chip 6GB which can be complemented with up to 6 GB of virtual RAM. This is not of the same quality as physics, but it offers an interesting “plus” of performance on modest devices. It will also offer a version with 4GB of physical RAM and 4GB virtual.
Its camera is also updated, going from 8 MP to 13MP in this new model. Don’t be fooled by its large camera module: it only has two sensors and its quality will be one of the most modest in the entire Xiaomi catalog.
Finally, it has been confirmed that it arrives with a 5,000 mAh battery and that has a USB C on the bottom. The charging speed that has been leaked is the same as in previous models: 10W. In addition, the charger is included in the device box along with the cable.
But without a doubt there is one detail that surpasses the rest: its price. This model is the most economical that Xiaomi sells internationally. Taking a look at the Xiaomi Spain page we have found that the current Redmi A2 sells for 79.99 euros, so the Redmi A3 should not be much more expensive. Everything indicates that it will be among the 90 and 100 euros.
