Netflix, Like any other application, it is constantly updated in search of being the best app to watch movies and series (in this case), and that is why, listening to the opinions of their clients, and with their own, they add new features that may interest us.
In this case, after the new version of Netflix for iOSwe can see 3 functions that, until now, we did not have, and that some of you may find very useful, and that you do not know yet, since currently, it was not possible to use them, and it will only be if we update the app.
New Netflix features on iOS
The Netflix streaming platform is going to incorporate three new functions to make the experience more interactive and personalized, so let's see them in summary:
- Real-time voting during live content: Viewers will be able to actively participate in live broadcasts (for example, in competitions or MasterChef-style cooking shows) by voting from their device or television (as it is also updated for other platforms) while the broadcast occurs. You will not be able to participate on a delayed basis (logically), which makes watching something live make more sense, looking not only for offline streaming.
- Dynamic and immersive home screen covers: The home interface will undergo visual changes: animated backgrounds, fluid transitions, collections with thematic settings (Halloween, holidays, etc.). The idea is that browsing feels more like entering an experience than just searching for a title. It is only a visual change, but it can greatly encourage us to enter the app.
- Redesigned child profiles: Profiles for kids will have a more simplified design, a “My Netflix” section where you can see what they have watched, saved or liked, and clearer access buttons. Parental controls are still present, but the user experience becomes clearer for the little ones who, at times, could have trouble searching or playing something they wanted.
In short, it is not an update that is going to change the way we watch Netflix, but it does add interesting options, depending on our use, and a more attractive vision, which means that, with small details, it remains the leader in the sector, despite the fact that others, such as Apple TV, are taking over. The competition is good, and it is seen in this case, where we continue with new options that make watching a simple movie more interactive, as well as betting on live programs, something that has less and less audience.
