Online banking continues its frantic conquest of new customers with more than 1.1 million new arrivals since the start of the year, or 4 new customers per minute. Highlight: more than half of new arrivals are under 25 years oldwhich demonstrates the growing appeal of the brand among Generation Z. This dynamic is explained in particular by a completely digital offer and free essential banking services, two criteria particularly popular with young professionals.

Assets under management also experienced significant growth, reaching 80 billion euros, an increase of 9 billion over one year. This performance illustrates BoursoBank’s ability to not only attract new customers, but also to retain them and become their main bank.

“BoursoBank continues its profitable growth trajectory initiated in 2023 which combines profitability and ambitious acquisition of 1.5 million customers per year” declares Benoît Grisoni, Managing Director of Boursorama.

Innovation and diversification: the keys to success?

The establishment does not rest on its laurels and continues to innovate. The recent launch of Bourso Business, the first free banking offer intended for professionals including a premium business card, demonstrates this desire for expansion. Success is already there with a new professional account opened every 7 minutes since its launch in early October.

On the technological front, BoursoBank consolidates its leading position with its mobile application ranked first in France and second globally according to the SIA Partners benchmark. With exceptional ratings on the stores (4.9/5 on iOS and 4.7/5 on Android) and 3.2 million downloads over the last 12 months, the application has established itself as the benchmark in the sector.

Solid commercial performance across all segments

The third quarter of 2024 was marked by strong commercial momentum across all businesses. The bank card activity is showing strong growth with an average of 17 transactions per month and a 30% increase in international transactions compared to last year. Mobile payment continues its breakthrough with a third of transactions carried out via wallet.

Savings is not left out with a remunerated savings collection of 1.2 billion euros over the quarter. Life insurance is also experiencing strong development with gross inflows of 300 million euros, up 55% compared to Q3 2023. Stock market activities maintain their momentum with more than 46,000 new account openings on the quarter and 2 million orders executed.

Credit, a historically more difficult segment for online banks, is showing encouraging signs with quarterly production of 800 million euros, or 2.5 times more than in Q3 2023. All the lights are therefore green for BoursoBank. We wonder what could stop him.

  • BoursoBank crosses the milestone of 6.8 million customers with a strong attraction among those under 25
  • The establishment diversifies with the successful launch of Bourso Business for professionals
  • Commercial performances are there in all segments with dynamic savings collection and a rebound in credit
