That is why we are going to talk a little more about it, and in this case about one of its controversies, since since it does not have many points to criticize, we have to take some away, and that has been the location of the on and off button.
Apparently, the fact that it comes on the back is a problem similar to that of the Magic Mouse, which also has the port on the bottom of it, and, therefore, cannot be charged and used at the same time, something that we see much worse than what we are going to discuss today, and which, at least for my part, cannot be compared.
As I said at the beginning, 15 days ago today I received my Mac at home, and the truth is that I could tell you about my experience with the buttonbut I have only pressed it once, on its first startup, so I don’t have much to say in this regard, and that is that, at least my intention (and I think Apple’s as well), is to always leave it suspended, well Its consumption is only 4W/h, and it allows you to resume everything where you left off in milliseconds.
It is true that if we want to turn it off and on every day, things change, however, to turn it off it will not be necessary to press the button, since we have the option in the system itself. As for turning it on, yes we will have to touch that button at the bottom, however, is it really that annoying?
The Mac Mini M4 weighs 670 gramsand a size of 12 cm wide and long, so if someone really bothers to lift the computer with a finger and press a button, it is really very sensitive, and although it is more comfortable if it were visible, we are not talking about it either. of a problem so serious as to criticize it since its departure.
There are accessories, even on Amazon, that do not solve this problem, if anyone sees it as such, and although aesthetically they would affect the design of the Mac Mini a lot, it is a way to be able to turn on the equipment itself without lifting it, in case at the placement level it can be be annoying.
In short, yes, we all know that the button is at the bottom and that you have to move the equipment itself to be able to press it, however, it is not that serious, especially if, like me, we have not turned it off yet, since the problem won’t be that, well you will only use this button several times a yearwhich is precisely what Apple wants to tell you with that placement.
