Apple Fitness+ is kicking off 2025 with a host of exciting new features for its subscribers. Apple’s fitness service is significantly expanding its offering with new training programs, integration with Strava and exclusive content. A major development which confirms Apple’s ambition to offer an ever more complete and personalized fitness experience.

New programs for all levels

The service is launching several innovative programs, starting with progressive strength training over three weeks. This program includes 12 30-minute sessions targeting all major muscle groups, with an evolving approach: the first week focuses on progressive loading, the second on time under tension, and the third on dynamic power.

Apple Fitness+ is also riding the pickleball trend by offering a special program designed with Catherine Parenteau, world champion in the discipline. The exercises, inspired by his own training regime, aim to improve players’ strength, endurance and agility.

The well-being component is not left out with the introduction of a new breathing meditation program comprising five 10-minute sessions, as well as a “Yoga Peak Poses” series offering targeted workshops on specific postures.

A major collaboration with Strava and exclusive content

The integration with Strava represents a significant advancement for Apple Fitness+ users. Subscribers will now be able to share their workouts directly on the Strava app, with rich details like the episode image, coach name and their metrics. Strava subscribers also get a special offer to try Fitness+ free for three months.

The platform is also expanding its music catalog with new “Artist Spotlight” sessions featuring Janet Jackson, Coldplay, Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar. The “Time to Walk” series welcomes new personalities like Adam Scott, Rita Ora and Daddy Yankee for immersive walking sessions.

To motivate its users at the start of the year, Apple is offering an exclusive badge on the Apple Watch for those who close their three activity rings for seven consecutive days in January.Jay Blahnik, vice president of Fitness Technologies at Apple, emphasizes that “Fitness+ is designed to support everyone on their unique fitness and wellness journey, providing welcoming and motivating workouts and meditations that make it easier to maintain physical activity and mindfulness.”
