The new MacBook Pro does not promise to revolutionize the industry. But it certainly gains in power thanks to the M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. Whatever your needs, Apple promises to meet them. Of course, this new model for professionals still brings its share of new features. Pre-orders are already open pending official marketing on November 8.
MacBook Pro M4, power galore
The real change in this new MacBook Pro is what it hides under its hood. M4, M4 Pro or M4 Max: it’s up to you to choose which chip will make the machine purr. As usual, the new MacBook Pro is available in 14 inches or 16 inches.
With the arrival of Apple Intelligence, the Cupertino company had to offer a powerful MacBook Pro, capable of making us dream. Thus, the M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max chips promise dazzling performance to be able to go even further. It’s particularly suitable for all consumers who need speed and smoothness to run demanding applications and software, such as editing photos, editing videos and much more.
The MacBook Pro M4 relies on 16 GB of RAM, compared to 8 GB previously, which allows it to be even more powerful, and offers three Thunderbolt 4 ports. For their part, the models equipped with the M4 Pro and M4 Max chips can count on Thunderbolt 5 ports for better connectivity and increased data transfer speeds.
What’s new, otherwise? Regardless of the chip, or its diagonal, the MacBook Pro M4 offers a splendid Liquid Retina XDR screen with an all-new nano-textured screen option and better brightness (up to 1000 nits for SDR content). If autonomy is an important criterion for you, this is good. Apple promises battery life of up to 24 hours, which is a real record for a Mac.
