Apple TV+ continues to expand its catalog with international content by unveiling the trailer for its next Spanish series, “Tú También lo Harías”, or “You would do the same thing” for its French distribution. This new Spanish-language series consisting of eight episodes promises to be a captivating thriller, where suspense and lies intertwine.
The plot of the series begins with an armed robbery gone wrong on a bus near Barcelona, leading to the deaths of three of the robbers. Six witnesses are questioned by the authorities, but quickly, the detectives in charge of the case find themselves confronted with inconsistent and contradictory accounts. The police are convinced that the witnesses are not telling the whole truth and that secrets are hidden behind this event, but there is nothing to prove it. The game of false leads and lies will thus punctuate the investigation in a tense atmosphere.
A renowned Spanish cast
The series stars several prominent actors from the Spanish scene, including Ana Polvorosa, known for her roles in series like “The Young Ladies of the Telephone”Michelle Jenner, Pablo Molinero and José Manuel Poga, seen notably in “The House of Paper”. Together, they embody the characters at the heart of this complex and ambiguous investigation.
The series is produced by Legendary Television and Espotlight Media, with a script by David Victori and Jordi Vallejo. David Victori also serves as director and shares executive production with Anxo Rodriguez.
Release staggered from October 30
The first two episodes of “You Would Do the Same Thing” will be available from Wednesday, October 30 as a worldwide exclusive in the Apple TV+ catalog, followed by a new episode every Wednesday, until December 11. This weekly broadcast will allow the suspense to build gradually, but also to retain subscribers over a long period of time, since this is Apple’s strategy to keep you subscribed.
