If you are one of those people who, after seeing the new orange color of the iPhone 17 Prodid not hesitate to go for it, due to how striking and elegant it looked, it is likely that you were scared to hear news of people who, after the passage of weeks, have seen how its color changes.

In some cases, users, especially on Reddit, have commented that, apparently, it has a much more pink tone, and no longer resembles the strong, cosmic orange that they released. That's just what worries everyone who has one after a couple of months, and they don't want it to happen to them.

Does orange iPhone change color?

In recent days, there has been quite a rumor that the iPhone 17 Pro in cosmic orange It could end up turning pink with use. Photos here, videos there… and of course, doubt began to enter the minds of more than one.

The idea was simple: you buy the orange iPhone, you use it normally, the sun hits it, time passes… and suddenly the color changes. Something quite strange, because it is not what one expects from a mobile phone of this price.

But after testing several units in different conditions, things seem much simpler: the color does not change. The iPhone is still orange. It doesn't turn pink, lighten weirdly, or end up a different shade than what you see when you take it out of the box.

Most likely, those images that were seen on the networks were very specific cases: poorly lit photos, strange reflections or even a specific defect in a specific unit. Nothing that suggests that it is something general, much less a “problem” of the model.

In normal use by anyone (pocket, table, car, some sun) the Cosmic Orange remains as is. There are no magical effects or unexpected changes as the days go by. The problem comes, according to Apple, from the contact with cleaning productssuch as bleach or other stronger ones, makeup or disinfection, something that is normal, and that would occur in any model, not just the orange one.

Do not use products that contain bleach or hydrogen peroxide. Prevent moisture from entering the openings and do not submerge your iPhone in any cleaning products. After disinfecting it, wipe it with a soft, slightly damp (with water) and lint-free cloth. –Apple

This is good to know, especially if you were hesitating between colors. Orange is striking and is not for everyone, but at least you can be clear that it is not going to mutate into something different over time.

So nothing, if you like that color and it was the only thing that made you hesitate, you can rest assured. The iPhone is not going to turn pink by surpriseor at least not if you take good care of it, whether you carry it with a cover or not, since it is not necessary either, and it would not lose its color as long as it is not in contact, as we said, with strong products that could damage it, but neither water nor sweat, much less its use, will make it change color.
