Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen a constant stream of beautifully recreated caricatures from real photographs. Many people have been asking, “How are they made?” ChatGPT is responsible for them, which has led to a surge in popularity and usage, leading to many subscriptions to the company’s Plus and Pro plans.
However, there are people who are reluctant to use third-party apps, and only want to have AI, as is the case of owners of an iPhone 15 Pro or higher, who have already been able to use, in Spanish, Apple Intelligence, however, it seems that Apple’s intelligence still has a lot to improve.
Apple Intelligence vs. ChatGPT: Who Will Win in 2025?
Although Apple’s AI has been around for a long time, until a couple of weeks ago, it has not been able to be tested in Spain and other EU countries, so it is the first time for many people to run it, and unfortunately, they have been disappointed, and it is not as interesting as they thought, since, in addition to asking for minimum requirements to be able to use it, it does not reach the same level as others such as OpenAI with its current version of ChatGPT, which, as we said, has had a great reception this last month, due to the launch of an image creator that converts any photograph into a cartoon in Ghibli, Simpsons, and any other anime version you can think of.
This leads us to wonder if Apple will improve its AI in the future, or will it fall behind the competition, since we could not only comment on cases like this, where Apple Intelligence does not achieve anything similar, but in other points, where they even pretend to stand out, and thus announce it, such as the magic erase, they are quite mediocre, seeing how Samsung’s, or others, does it much better, so we can say that yes, Tim Cook’s company finally implemented this, but it seems like a first version of ChatGPT, something that 1 year ago could have been good, but is currently far behind its rivals.
Therefore, if you have an iPhone, Mac, iPad, etc., unfortunately you will have to resort to external AI if you want to take full advantage of their power, since Apple’s is currently far behind the rest, and no changes are expected, at least not quickly, even with delayed projects, such as the HomePod with a screen, because its Siri is so bad that they don’t dare to present it like that.
And you, did you think Apple could do more in this regard, or do you like the features it has, even though they’re not the best on the market? Let’s hope it manages to catch up and position itself with the rest of its competitors, since it’s not pleasant to have to use another company’s AI when you should have your own that works similarly, especially when we’re talking about Apple, which isn’t exactly a company lacking the resources to do so.
