One of the functions that the iPhone have, is limit battery charge to a percentage specifically. By default, we can do it in older models to 80%, being in the most modern where it will let us choose more specific ranges, such as 85%, or 90%, for example.
However, is this really for something? It has always been said that letting the battery come out of 20%, or rises from 80% will make it degrade faster and finally have to change it before we did it correctly, but how much truth does this have? And what really does it compensate to do it?
Limit battery in iPhone
There are many causes for which the battery of an iPhone degrades, and although one of them is the one we are seeing today, it is not really the most important, and although studies certify that it is not good for a battery to reach the top of its capacity, or stay without any energy, it is not the worst thing in the world either.
Among the most relevant causes of its degradationis the temperature of the same, both when loading it, and of using it, and that is that living in a place with high temperatures, will make our iPhone always hot, which is the worst ally of the life of this component, so that there we could see a very fast degradation of it, and it can be checked with very simple statistics, where we will see that a Norwegian, after 1000 cycles, will be much better. of a Venezuelan, for example, regardless of how they load it.
Therefore, and although it is important, we do not have to be aware of this percentage, and if we need to go outside, it will be best to take it to 100%, that for something we buy a phone with good battery, not to use only 80%, and that instead of 36 months, it lasts 37 months, because we have changed before model, or we do not care to replace the battery but have enjoyed it.
In short, and as a personal opinion, Loading the phone to a limit is absurdand while it is true that at night it will give us the same as the load is limited and slows down, leaving home with a percentage lower to the maximum is losing the capacity of the phone, and, at least in my case, I have it disabled, because it is not as relevant as many think, and no matter how much you do it, your battery may last less than that of your friend who takes care of it.
And you, are you one of those who take care of your iPhone to the last detail even though the difference is not much?, Or do you prefer to use it as you want without thinking about whether you are degrading the battery, or not. The truth is that I prefer to pay for a new one and take advantage of it, to use it very little by little and not reach the end of the day just for not having loaded it to the fullest.
