CES in Las Vegas is an opportunity for tech players to exhibit their latest innovations. And there are both large groups, like Samsung or LG, as well as small companies with innovative ideas. For example, in a previous article, we mentioned a company which proposes to replace the AZERTY keyboards of television interfaces with a more suitable keyboard, inspired by the T9. As for the French company AtmosGear, it is taking advantage of this show to present its electric roller skates.
Electric roller skates are French
This company also claims to have invented the very first electric roller skates in the world. To propel the rollers, AtmosGear has a motor integrated into the wheel. There is also a bag that includes the battery (so as not to weigh down the rollers). And there is a remote control. This allows you to accelerate, brake or reverse. As you can see in our video below, it’s quite simple to use for people who are already used to rollerblading.
Two possible options
According to the AtmosGear website, its roller skates have a maximum speed of 25 km/h and a range of 20 km. The company offers two options. The first is to buy a kit for 650 euros which just includes the decks, the wheels, the bag with the battery, and the remote control. The frames attach to existing pairs of skates via adapters. But it is also possible to buy pairs of electric AtmosGear rollerblades for 770 euros.
Otherwise, among the French innovations that are creating a buzz during CES, there is also the connected (magic) mirror from Withings which displays health data.
