Xiaomi continues to work on its operating system, HyperOS, constantly bringing new features and improvements. While we wait for its next major update, HyperOS 3.0, its latest update, 2.2, is starting to roll out to some phones with some very interesting improvements and new features.

Xiaomi mobile and wearable users are in luck: HyperOS 2 continues to roll out to more devices every day, with version 2.1 still fresh from its release, and now we have HyperOS 2.2. But what exactly does this mean?

What’s new in HyperOS 2.2

For now, HyperOS 2.2 is a very important update: it brings us not only many new features, but also the most basic: general performance improvements across all devices where it is implemented, achieving greater speed, efficiency, and system stability thanks to improved memory management.

In addition to this, the update brings such interesting features as a new, more intuitive and user-friendly camera interface, smoother animations and a better experience with the system interface in general, improvements in all advanced AI functions, including video and photo processing, and also the arrival of Game Turbo 6.1, with improvements in gaming.

As you can see, these are improvements that affect all types of users, so receiving this update is always good news. If you have one of the compatible phones, you can start getting ready to enjoy all this.

These are the devices that will receive HyperOS 2.2 first

HyperOS 2.2 is expected to officially arrive around May of this year on the brand’s flagship devices, after which it will be rolled out to more than 40 devices, according to Xiaomi itself. However, there are six devices that will be eligible to receive the update in beta phase first, before its official, mass rollout planned for May. If you own one of these phones or tablets, congratulations, because you’ll be able to try out the latest version of the operating system before anyone else.

  • Xiaomi 14T
  • Xiaomi 15
  • POCO F7 Ultra
  • POCO F7 Pro
  • Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G
  • POCO X7 Pro
  • Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro

These are all very recent devices, as is the case with the POCO F7, which was launched just a few days ago. However, it’s a pleasant surprise to see models like the POCO X7 Pro and the Redmi Note 14 Pro, which, despite their Pro names, are mid-range and more affordable models. Also, keep an eye on the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, which is the only tablet that receives updates so early.

The update is expected to arrive first on devices in China, as usual, and then expand to the rest of the global market. With this in mind, we could be enjoying the update in our country by early summer , although with a bit of luck, the lucky devices will receive the improvements and new features of this version 2.2 first.
