With Google that does not happen, and the typical images or videos you want to have forever in the cloud, but you do not want them to occupy space on the phone or not to be accessible through the gallery by anyone, they can be stored on Google photos independently.
This means that you can Have your main photos in Icloudwith a cleaner gallery, without screenshots, videos received by WhatsApp, etc., but that you will have the option to visualize them if you enter Google photos, alternately, easy and with an exclusive storage of 15 GB for them, although you can expand it if you wish.
And, the day I bought my first iPhone, it was something that I missed, the separation of the cloud from the gallery itself, something Apple does not do, and you will not have the form of Save a photo without being lost if you delete it from your photostherefore, the only way is through Google photos or creating folders that you upload to your files, something quite absurd.
